MOVING HOME ASSESSMENT

DESCRIPTION

Moving home in Hong Kong can be overwhelming, especially if you are looking for a small place. How many times have you wondered if your existing furniture can fit in the new house? You don’t want to wait until you move the furniture all the way only to find out that you have to sell it and get a new one that better suits the place. Or sometimes you are really attached to that favorite sofa or bed and you won’t sign a new lease until you know for sure that you can take it with you. This service helps you to make a quick analysis of a new home and your existing furniture.

HOW IT WORKS

THE FIRST MEETING

The initial meeting will take place on the new or on your current place, using this time to get to know you and understand your priorities.

THE SURVEY

2 surveys will be carried out: one of the new home and another of all the existing furniture that you intend to keep by taking measurements and photos.

CURRENT FURNITURE LAYOUT

The surveys will be used to design the floor plan of the new place and input your existing furniture in there, arranging it in the most suitable layout.

NEW SUGGESTIONS

If any item doesn’t fit, an alternative size/footprint will be proposed so you can use as a reference while purchasing the new furniture, if you wish to do so.

After the surveys are finalized you will receive a ‘Moving Home Assessment Report’ showing how your current furniture can be placed in the new home.

    • ‘Moving Home Assessment Report’ consisting of a 2D floor plan of the new home with your existing furniture layout and size/footprint suggestions for new items, in case yours don’t fit the space.

    • The time for the surveys depends on the size of the new home and quantity of existing furniture.

    • The floor plan will be emailed within 2-3 working days after the surveys are finalized.

    • This service doesn’t include any design concept or development.

    • If you wish to make an assessment of your furniture layout in your current place, a quick sketch with no survey can be conducted as part of the ‘Design Consultation’ service.
